As you can see, they filled in the hole completely and put in our window wells, along with putting in the plumbing for the basement. I suppose I don't know what else they have to do before they can start framing, but I theeeeeenk the only thing they have left to do is pour the concrete and make the basement floor. But don't quote me on that.
They told us that we are scheduled to be framed either the 2nd or 3rd week of May, so now we're just waiting...I am so excited for the house to be framed, so that it can start looking like an actual house. At first this whole building a house process felt like it was taking forever, but now it seems like it's going by really quickly! Only 12 or 13ish more weeks until we are actually living there! Crazy!
Tomorrow I am driving to New City with my mom to register Cade for Kindergarten at his new school. I'm excited to take him to look around the place and get acquainted with it; hopefully it'll help him feel less scared about going to a new school. I think Cade going to a new school is scarier for me than it is for him. :/ Mom jitters I guess.
Anyway, hopefully next weeks post will show the beginning of a home being framed. How exciting would that be?!

It's coming along.
What did you decide about Cade and school, did you take him out or are you letting him finish the school year at his old school?
liz, we decided to keep him in school, because i think in the end if we took him out early, he'd think it was more weird and just starting over kindergarten in the fall. he's done in school in a month anyway, so i figured he should just tough it out...
