Write Now, Baby

Oh yeah. This is happening. See this? This is my flash drive. This flash drive has the workings of my novel on it. See this? This is the netbook (it’s sooooo cute and leeetttle and oh so most importantly ORANGE!) I will procure when I get my tax return so that I can write and tote my book (in the works) around with me so that I can be one of those eclectic geniuses with 15 pens in their hair who will randomly stop and do their Work because it’s so important and cool it can’t wait.

I’m really excited about this, bros.

I’m doing it. I’m really doing it. Writing the book I’ve dreamed of writing since I was five.

It’s weird but so beautiful to see a dream come true in the making.

It’s really something. It really is.

I'm such a loser.

I was reading and loving the ORANGE netbook and then your pic... and in a totally platonic way thought. Gosh she is beautiful.. even with a bunch of pens in her hair (and a wonderful nose accessory)

Have a great day Brie!

Can I buy a copy? I'm serious, I don't care that it's not finished or that I don't know what it's about. Anything and everything you write is fabulous and I am so excited for you. Keep up the good work, you are rockin' it!

Hey, I just was made painfully aware of the fact that if you have your flashdrive anywhere in close contact with metal (like, for example, keys) it will fry and crash and you will lose everything on it in a "flash".

This is coming from someone who lost everything on her flashdrive. I recommend either make super sure that you have that book saved in several places or be super careful with that flashdrive :)

I'm looking forward to reading the book :) :)

What does a blog-sista have to do to get a signed copy of this masterpiece when it is done?

I totally want you to make sure that you let me know when this novel is complete. I am so excited and quit jealous actually. You will do great things with this!

britney, i'm confused. if flash drives can't be around other metals, then why do they make them in key chain form? hrrrm.

thanks for all the support, guys. i'm glad i'll sell at least as many copies of my book as there are readers of my blog. :)

and laur, i got my scarf at Vans. :)

That picture is pretty fabulous. Now all you need is multiple scarves wrapped around your body, hemp pants, birkenstocks, and lots of jangly bracelets and necklaces. Mmhmm.
Best of luck with that novel. I sure can't wait to add it to my "virtual bookshelf"!

Sometimes the static electricity can get to the flash drive and cause it to lose all the information on it. I had a friend that lost all her information because of the metal on her backpack.

I don't know who had the bright idea of sticking a keychain on it though :/

that is seriously the ugliest effing picture of me i've ever seen.

That orange netbook puts my red one to shame :( I want that one so much more than mine now!

Wow. That orange thing puts me to shame. We scrounged a free one off of Troy for Ali! I am so proud fo you! This book has been a long time in the making and could be so amazing!

So I just asked my tech geek husband about the flash drive metal thing and it is true that the static electricity can fry it, though it's pretty unlikely to actually happen. Wow! I leaned something new today. I would love to read your book the minute it comes out. Are you apt to answering whether it's a fictional novel or a memoir or none of the above?
