No, Tragus is not a City in Africa

...it's a part of your ear.
And I got it pierced, baby.

Observe:

Waiting in anticipation (with a teeeeensy bit of fear in there) for it to happen...

Needle going in...

It really wasn't so bad - the tragus is all cartilage, so it really didn't hurt all that bad. What really hurt was him trying to put in the earring hoop afterward (which I have to wear for 6 weeks until I can put a cute little diamond stud in it.)

OUCH.
Mother EFFER!

Blood=HARDCORE

Breathe, Brie, Breathe...

After: I loves it!

lol, you're going to end up with like, 60 ear piercings. :D

funny, i also use ear piercings as a way to get pain that doesnt count as self injury... plus, they look awesome.

take care Brie

Katie, haha, I know.

2 piercings in 3 days isn't impulsive AT ALL. ;)

My friend got that done when I was with her in India....and it was the most UNsanitary place on the face of the earth! Glad to see your place was reasonably clean and on the up and up (at least what I can see from the pics, although the man does look a bit creepy). I'd never have the guts to do what you did! OUCH! The closest I can come is to get a tattoo. Man, you're one brave sucker!

yeah, heather, the place was about as clean as a tattoo parlor can get, lol. ;)

oh and it really didn't hurt all that bad - getting my nose pierced was waaaaaaaaaaaaaay worse!

Hmm, piercing as an acceptable form of pain...you know, that's a lot more sensible than how I use tattoos for the same purpose. At least you can take your piercings out!!!

Looks awesome!!

Ah man... That looks like the most painful thing EVER! Yet... It turned out soooo uber cute! P.S. Your brows (as in eye brows) are looking more and more AMAZING these days.

I think it turned out great.
I hate needles; I need to get over it and just go for it one of these days.

Also, I looked up nose piercing on Google (like I said I'm working on getting over the fear, seeing the cool outcome helps), and guess who is on the first page of the images?

kayla, haha, I've actually seen that my blog post is one of the first to come up if it is googled. i've actually gotten some nasty comments from it, like saying i was being a wimp for "whining" about it and stuff.

they make me laugh.

YOU GUUUUUYS....

I'm telling you it doesn't really hurt - if you have your ear cartilage pierced, it's just a teeny more painful - not nearly as painful as tongue, nose, and eyebrow piercing (so I hear). Promise you could do it and not die!

Love it! I am no stranger to impulsive piercings either. Was going through a not so fun time last fall and decided at 4pm at work to get my tongue pierced. Had it done within 2 hours. It's gone now though because I took it out to clean it once and then completely forgot about it for a couple days and it grew over. I'd like to get the tragus done though and fix my 2nd set of regular ear piercings.

Oh and tongue piercings don't hurt! I barely felt it. My upper ear (cartilage part) hurt so mush more. Tongue hurts the 3rd day after the most, but I will be honest and say I took the advice to keep it really clean with mouthwash or alcohol too seriously and drank far too many vodka shots on the weekend (can't use mixers for a bit after) and I think that is why it was healed so quickly, lol. (I swear I am not much of a drinker though, lol)

Keirelle!

I could NEVER get my tongue pierced!! The pain the pain OH THE PAIN!! Ahh! I think that's the *last* think I could ever get pierced...other than, you know, that thing that's south of the border... ;)

Love that having some drinkies "heals" it. What a great excuse to get smashed, eh??

The tragus hurt me more than the nose! But, listen, be careful answering the phone!!
I angrily answered the phone at work and almost blurted a string of obscenities in a customer's ear bc I smashed my tragus with the receiver. It was pretty hilarious to my coworkers, however, since up until that point I was totally hardcore hee hee
:)

Hmm. Did my cartilage when I hit 35. Maybe the tragus is due this coming year for my big 40!
