Balloons in the Sky

On Tuesday, April 6th, I will be releasing a white balloon into the sky with a letter to Kendall written on it.  I invite you all to join me; to release a balloon for Kendall, or maybe for someone else that you have lost.  You are all here for me during maybe the hardest time in my life, and I'd like to share this moment with you.

More details to come.

I'm glad you found a suggestion you like! I also thought of you when I was on Etsy. Both your son and daughter will always be your children- I know your dad got you a necklace but maybe you'd also like one with your girlies name on it and man child so they are always near to you!
I'll have you in my prayers around this time as I know it will be hard thinking about what might have been.

Hey honey- it's finally spring here, so I think I'll plant 3 white flowers in my German windowboxes- a big one for Kendall, and 2 little guys for mine. I'll think of you and Kendall whenever I look out my bedroom window. I love you

What a wonderful idea. I did that when the first anniversary of my mom's death arrive. I also did it in memory of a few others I love deeply who I've lost. I cried like mad, but at the same time, watching it soar into the bright blue sky, I felt overwhelming relief and joy. I know Kendall will get your message. She'll be waiting in Heaven in great anticipation of this moment. I encourage you to take pictures of the balloons soaring high. I will do the same thing for Kendall, albeit from San Francisco, when you guys are doing it there in SLC. Just let me know the date and time. I think I may also just add a little note to my own mama, if you don't mind.

B,
I know you probably could already figure this one out.. But, Im there. I think that this is a nice way to watch you daughter and your love or her soar.
So, on Tuesday, I'll be the one next to you releasing a balloon for the beautiful Kendall Penny and for one for Kenneth Lawrence. Its strangely almost an honor for me to feel like I would be there with you.
So.... consider it a date friend..

Would I be intruding if I came? I have spring beak that week and therefore no work. I would love to release a balloon in honor of Kendall and in honor of the baby I lost. I know this must be a difficult time and I am thinking about you.

I am so sorry that Kendall left this world much too soon, but I know she is smiling down on you, right now and always.

I released balloons for my best friend when she died a few years ago and it was very meaningful. I'm so glad that you are planning on doing this for Kendall.

B... Im sitting here... almost speechless. I am so grateful that you have your blog, a place for you to share a piece of you with the world, and to have the response of all of these readers.
We haven't even released the balloons yet, and its not even my day.. but I can already feel the overwhelming support and love that will be there. kind of gives me chills just to think that there are going to be balloons and hearts all over flying in honor of Kendall.
I am so proud of you B for the step you are taking. You so greatly feared that she was going to be forgotten, and I hope that, even if just by this post alone, such a thing is impossible.
"You are an amazing mother
You are good and
I love you..."

We would be honored to be there with you, but it will have to be in spirit only. I am deathly allergic to latex and balloons are a nightmare for me.
I hope you know how much the entire extended family loves you, looks up to you, and supports you, in the joyful moments and the moments that make us question everything. Stay strong. Find a little joy in this journey even when the individual steps along the way cause you pain, and most importantly, know that you are loved.
