First off, that person is clearly an idiot. Second, I bet the only reason they would dare to say something like that is because you are anything BUT chunky (because who in their right mind would tell a chunky person they're chunky?). Third, I never got a chance to comment on your post on anger but I have to tell you how much I can relate to those feelings. Of feeling so helpless and scared and caring so much it hurts. I'm so sorry you're dealing with such hard things, but I also think the mere fact that you struggle with this is proof that you are an amazing mom. Our love can't protect them from everything, but somehow, in the end, I do think it will be enough.

Are you sure they weren't joking? Because like someone said above, who tells a chunky person that they're chunky? (Except for my Asian friend whose relatives always tell her that when clearly she is NOT. They are insane and evil.)

okay, first off, i do think she was serious. because she didn't say it in a joking way. but i think she tried to back-track cuz she was like, "I can't believe you're wearing a maternity shirt, it's so small, i wouldn't even fit in it - but yeah you just look a little chunky..."

And obviously you don't look 'chunky'- that is a preggo belly if I ever saw one and if she can't tell then that just show how many brain cells she doesn't have.
