Things to Look Forward To

When I start feeling a bit blue, there’s nothing like focusing on the positive. I find that thinking of things to look forward to almost always can get me out of my funk:

1) The Office premier is on Thursday night. Finally, the beloved writers’ strike is over, and it’s time to get me a whole lotta Jim, Michael, and Dwight. My sissy is holding an Office party, and there’s nothing like a BBQ and dressing up as your favorite character to get in the spirit for the premier. Me? I’m dressing up as Stanley – if I can find black paint, that is. :)
2) Dinner with my beloved Alana. Oh how I have missed her! Strep throat and ping-pong sized tonsils have been stealing her affections (or maybe just attention).
3) Spring. Mrs. Peterson and I are realllly going to get it on when the weather warms up.
4) Erm. Weight gain? I’ve heard around the block it’ll help me feel better…?
5) Being able to see Whit again.
6) Going to St George to visit Sheppie and Rachel. BINGO in Mesquite, bike riding, attempts at corrupting Racher’s mind…ah. Loves it!
7) My next From Behind Bars installment. It’s gonna be a good one, folks!
8) Spending time with Hubbylicious. His nerdy Engineering friends have been stealing him from me with their desperate efforts at building a car that makes scrambled eggs or something for a class project, and I’ve been a wee bit jealous, but I’ll do anything (even begrudgingly) if it means Husband gets an A in class.
9) The X-Files movie. Okay, okay, I know it doesn’t come out until the end of July, but it’s going to be a fabulous birthday present to me to see the flick! Paige, you better be arranging a babysitter now! (I certainly am.)
10) Taking Cade to the zoo. I’m thinking I wanna take him on Saturday. Anyone wanna come along? I love watching the monkeys groom each other’s privates and such.

I should try to come up with a list (you always have such good ideas). I wouldn't be able to come up with 10 things though. I'd be happy with 2-3 right now.

Thanks for the list and motivation. :)

ps... "they are a winner" is probably the worst grammar EVER! feel free to shun me over it (but only for an hour or two).

Yeah, The X-Files movie! I'm so excited. :)

I wish I lived in Utah, or you lived in Minnesota. I'd love to go to dinner with you someday...

Ah, weight gain... it'll be okay, Brie. It really will. You'll make it through the rough spots, I'm sure of it.

Lana, YES, I must include crotchal grooming! Who doesn't love them some of that, eh?!

And I'm glad your tonsils made a list somewhere. They certainly deserve it, after everything they've put you through. It's quite amazing.

Em, I wish we could hang out, too. :( You know what I really wish? I wish I could go with you to the shelter to pick out your kitty! How awesome would that be?! ;)

Love you all - Jana, I'm looking forward to reading your own list, you should do it - it helped cheer me up a bit. :)

Wow....a list. You've inspired my currently depressed state of mind to move from my usual pessimist-self over towards a more optomistic view-point...if only for a few minutes! I was not born with rose-colored glasses, that's for dang sure, but who says I can't try them on once in a while? Usually, I have to be forced to try them on, however. But I will take a stand, for once, and do it myself! Yippee! I'm actually looking forward to looking forward to something!

YAY! Baby-sitter is all set (his name is Matt) and I am ready to go. I am soooooooo excited; only 3.5 months away!

BTW, I laughed and laughed at your ritual for Satan comment. You crack me up. (but....you're crazy because everyone knows Nia is AWESOME!)
