Optimism at its Finest

I am hopeful this day will be better than Monday. In fact, I insist. It MUST be better, it has to be. And here’s what I’m going to do to help ensure/insure that this will indeed happen:

I am doing my hair and makeup for the first time since Friday. YES, FRIDAY, folks. Grossness, here!

I’m going to therapy again today, but plan on NOT doing the following:
-Tripping. Firmly planted feet, here, people.
-Wearing my ED Hearty Ed Hardy hat. As K2 said, wearing a hat with a skeleton on it that might be considered pro-ana did NOT go over well with the t to the herapist.
-Arriving early. In fact, just to make a statement that says I’m not an eager beaver, I’m going to arrive 2 minutes LATE.
-Look too skinny. This will be achieved by the perfect combination of not too baggy and not too tight jeans. In fact, I should patent this process and sell them on eBay or Amazon. I’ve perfected the look!

I have no headache, I have no brain tumor. At least, I have received no further evidentiary support, but you never know.

I’m going to the park with my sisters. Talking about exsay (or BD, as far as Z is concerned… ;) and the most recent embarrassing moments (my epic trip from Monday will surely be dissected in great detail) all with a giant Diet Coke, from the fountain with minimal ice..ahhhhh…life can’t get much better for this chick who doesn’t expect much from herself and has certainly stopped thinking Life will do anything for her. ;)

I’m expecting this in the mail today…fingers crossed…bad apples! Awesome Brie!

See?? How can my day NOT be anything but good? And, I’ve just decided that it doesn’t even have to be GREAT or GOOD or NICE or even FINE. It just needs to be better than it was on Monday. That shouldn’t be that difficult. I mean, epic trip and falls don’t just happen every day, and certainly not more than once a week. Also, neither do growing brain tumors. Or pro-ana headwear.

So I think I’m clear.

dude i'm going to have to send cfc a lil update with the blazing headline that as much as they like to think everything un-cfc related has to do with relapse, ed hardy has absolutely nothing to do with pro ana. skulls and crossbones?! come on now! christian audigier, a hard core designer met don ed hardy, an aspiring tatoo artist and liked his edgy designs so much that he wanted to do a clothing line with hardy's artwork. nothing more, nothing less. last time i checked, anorexia is a disease, not a fashion statement, nor is ed hardy attempting to make it into one. tattoo artists couldn't care any less about the size of fashionistas like us. in fact, they'd probably prefer us to be the size of a blimp because it means more of their work is likely to been see by other people! i heart ed hardy and i heart brie. rock on dude.

Hi sweets - why diet coke if you're trying to gain? And hell yes for Fine days!!

CG, Diet Coke is a matter of taste. I've only drank diet soda my whole life...just recently I tried some of my husband's Pepsi and spit it out - it was sooooo sweet - YUCK! I think I'm so used to it, I can't deal with the overly sweet real stuff. Nasty!

Hey, I hope your day is going better like you planned it to. :)

Hey sis, i thought it was awesome you were trying to be all keyboard advanced and do a smiley face like this, :) - instead, you did this. ;) - one round and one slanted eye!

Glad you're feeling better, see ya at work amanha.

I admire your ass-kicking attitude. The rain you had the other day has reached us here in Ohio, and it's definitely put a damper on my mood. But this post was so positive I couldn't help but smile.

here's to a better day!

Just have to back ya' up with the diet coke. TOTALLY a matter of taste. Calories have nothing to do with it. My husband once brought home Diet Coke Zero....no calories, but tastes like COKE...and it was disgusting. Like drinking straight sugar.

I buy DC by the case. My life is nothing without it.

I've really cut down my dc habit :) It is just awful stuff, diet or otherwise. Watch those bones, ladies.

So glad you're feeling better, honey - or at least I hope yuor day turned out to be a good one.

Love, Z

ps - bd... the terminology is nutso. I am hoping for a BFP but I fear that AF is on her way :) Oh mercy.

Z & Brie, are you two speaking another language?! Speaking in code?

zubeldia said...

Hi bananas, ha, sort of... I mentioned on my blog that I was trying to get pregnant and that I'd joined some weird message boards. They use some really weird lingo! BD - is baby dance (i,e, sex!!), BFP - is a big fat positive (pregnancy test).

I have turned into a crazy woman :)

Oh Brett - I was winking! semi colon, close parantheses? Total winkage!

Z, here's to hoping for a BFP! OMGIluvBFP's!

brie said...

Oh yes, that's another thing. Calories mean nothing when it comes to soda. LIke L, I tried a Coke Zero and just about spit it out everywhere. Gross!

Sorry for all the comments guys, but I keep forgetting:

a more in-depth update later, but I just got back from tx. There were no Death Hats or trip n falls, but there is a huge chance I"ll be in the hospital tomorrow. Think healthy, un-hospital thoughts for me! :(

KC Elaine said...

sorry to hear that Brie. I'm thinking positive thoughts for you...do give us an update when you get the chance.

I can't believe Brett didn't know what a winky smily was! ;) Come on, dude, it's 2008!

Brie I don't want you to have to go to the hospital, but I do want you to be OK. So if that's what it takes, that's what it takes. But you must be out by next Friday to pick my ass up from the airport!

You also have to be out because hospitals are boring and sucky!

Yum to Coke Zero. I'm such an addict now. This comes from a former regular Pepsi girl. I guess I like sugar/sweet stuff a lot more than Brie! (Well, big surprise. I could probably eat like 5 cupcakes with sugary lemonade or something.)

Dear Brie,

Whatever happens, I'm hoping that this helps you make it on through to the next best parts of your life.

With support and many well-thoughts....

First of all, don't wear that new hoodie around your t...I think she'd lecture you on glamorizing suicide or violence or something equally ridiculous since she is apparently an expert on analyzing clothing and their subliminal messages!

Seriously though, do what is best for you Brie. If that means going to the hospital, do it. You know deep down what you really need to do and only you can know if you're truly fighting your hardest. Hang in there slut and know how much I care about you.

On the diet soda thing, well I do think it's a matter of what you are used to, however I do think many people, myself included, make the initial switch because if the calories and then later become addicted to the taste.

On going to the hospital, good luck in whatever happens. I know it is both good and bad, but mostly good for your body.

CookieGirl said...

haha that is so funny about taste. oh gosh, praying for you about the hospital...

Lisa said...

I'm so sorry to hear about the hospital potential - I hope you don't have to go!

In response to your comment on my blog:

OH NO! That is a sad story. Although, I would probably hate it too if I was forced to go. ESPECIALLY with the option to go Rock Climbing?! Sheesh! What were those girls thinking?!

P to the S, we are reading "The PeaceGiver". Would you like to join el book club-o?

Here's to you, not in the hospital! We love you Brie!

So, yes, the live traffic thing is great. Except people from England and the UK keep finding my site by searching for "Bare bums" because I have a post of my girls with bare bums.
Creepy? Yes.
Is it enough to make me go private?
Not yet. Especially since these people were probably very disappointed to discover my boring blog and not some British porn.
