T.S.S.

Many of you no doubt are thinking that T.S.S. stands for Toxic Shock Syndrome – you know that weird disease that you can procure if you leave a tampon in for too long or whatever?

But.

I am talking about another T.S.S.: Tampon Seriously Stuck.

There is, I’d say, mmmm, about an 85% chance I’ve got TWO up there right now. They’re elusive little buggers, aren’t they? (Where is that damn string?)

Also I'd say this is satisfactory evidentiary support that I am indeed losing my mind.

And I think it is now time for me to go to the doctor.
Quickly!

Okay, I'm good, I'm good. No need for a doctor. I have a long middle finger! ;)

Well, glad you don't have to go to the doctor. That would be a weird session :S

I'm ashamed to admit that I have actually forgotten I had one in and then put another one in too. Later on it really freaked me out......since then, I've been ever so careful. Amd yes, those damn strings!

You don't know me but I think your blog rocks.

I didn't even know you were back to needing those things... that's good... but yeah Tampons royally suck if I remember correctly. (I have only needed them 4 times in the last 2.5 years due to pregnancy and nursing.)

Ok, tampons are not fun, but better than pads!! I haven't had a bad experience though -- I have feared it though! Good job on getting it out, Brie!

Should I congratulate you for menstruating though? That's a good sign!

Yay for menstruation...I think. We are trying to think healthy here.

I have indeed had my tampon stuck before. One time I was so sure I had one in there only to go to the doctor to find out I indeed did not. Future thought though...I have been told that its easier to get out if you are in a tub of hot/warm water.

I quit using them again because I am so scared of them getting stuck...sigh.

um... I've had to go to the doctor to take out a tampon that was in there - seriously. It was embarrassing and I certainly learned my lesson.

I have never had that problem, but I do worry about it! I also always worry that I am going to forget about one. Never have, thankfully!

Take care! I'm glad things worked out!

love, kristin

can i just say that i got my period this am at the hospital and asked for a tampon, knowing the liklihood of them having any was close to nil, but hoping that some kind nurse would have mercy on me.

no, instead they came back with a huge-ass pad that must have come from maternity. ewewwww.

but glad you found yours.

SITR -- Oh man, that sucks! And I've had a similar experience. Except I didn't have a pair of underwear, so they handed me this...mesh POS thing...

Giant fat pad + mesh underwear = ewwwww. Thank god I got discharged that day.

What's the deal with hospitals not having tampons? Geez.

oh baby, your bones will be so glad for these hormones :) But, yep, I completely, completely hear you on these sucky, elusive little fellas! The lovely benefit of pregnancy is the loss of one's period.

Back from my holiday, girl, and thinking about you a lot.

eww the mesh underwear is the WORST. seriously. think diaper.
