I Can’t Breathe! And Also: What If I Were an Inbred?

So, picture this: you’re underwater in a murky, cold lake, and you’ve been holding your breath. You wanted to hold your breath for awhile, you reasoned, just to see how long you could survive in this other, ethereal world. But then your brain sends rapid-fire signals to you: I need air, air, air, air! And you’re thinking, I need to break the surface, I need to breathe, I need a gulp of oxygen! You finally break the surface and suck in the most satisfying, perfect, pure swallow of air your lungs have ever tasted. And you feel better. Fantastic, actually. You reason that it’s okay if you’re stuck in the murky, desolate lake, because now you can breathe. As long as you can breathe, you’ll be okay.

That was me these past couple of days, folks. I was trying to hold my breath for awhile, and fill my ears with only the quiet emptiness of nothing. I wanted a short break from blogging, only to realize, as my mama pointed out, that I need blogging like I need oxygen. So I’m taking a giant gulp of blogxygen, and I feel better.

On another note, I warped these photos and couldn’t stop giggling like a mad school girl. This, I have decided, is what my family and I would look like if we were inbred:

Glad you're back, Brie! Your inbred pictures rock. :) Did you do that on photoshop?

Nope, didn't do it on photoshop. I've actually always wanted to try photoshop, but never have. I have a feature on my cell phone (it's a Sidekick) that's called Phototwist. It lets me warp and discolor my photos. It cost like 4 bucks, but is totally worth it. It helps break the monotony when work gets a bit dull. :)

Okay, do you get it? I changed my header. Do we all get that blogxygen=oxygen=I need to blog like I need oxygen? I thought it was cute, but if everybody is gonna think I don't know how to spell or speak a different language, then I'll change it back.

it was definately a breath of fresh air.
You can do some fun stuff to you photos too if you upload them to the free photo hosting websites.
glad you are back :o)

The spelling didn't confuse me. I'm glad you're back!

I want Photoshop Essentials SO BADLY... just for the fun things I can do with it! :) I'm also looking into getting a different phone within the next couple months. I want to upgrade!

I like your new blog heading. Your layout and heading is SO cool!

I want to change my blog title font to yours. How do I do that? I tried simply replacing my original font with "pugcat", but it didn't work.

PS- I want a Sidekick too when I have the money and it's time to upgrade my phone for the best price! :)

I wasn't going to look at your blog today because I didn't want to face the disappointment of not having an update... but I just had to check, you know? I'm really glad that your break from blogging turned out to be short. Thank you!

Love the analogy! Thank heavens I have something to read at work again. Phew!

Em, I actually made my lay-out on the Paint program, saved it, then loaded it onto my blog. The font is Pupcat, but you'll have to do it on another program. Try Paint.

Em, I was just thinking: if your Paint program doesn't have Pupcat, (I've noticed some do, and some don't, depending on your computer and how new the edition of Paint is) I could make one for you and send it via email - if you don't find anything you like, that is. Anyway, lemme know. :)

you can download the pupcat font here:

and just ad the font to the font folder in your pc control pannel.
I am a total font nerd and love finding new fonts on the internet.

Stacey, thanks so much for the link! I finally figured out the Paint program and how to upload the Pupcat font... and I had fun playing around designing my very own blog header! Thanks, Brie, for your help as well!

I love your new heading. Totally get it. It's you to the "T"....I held my breath for so long too....too long, I think, and lost some brain cells in the process. I'm glad your break wasn't as extended as mine. You're a breath of fresh air.....for reals.

You have the weirdest brain, but I definitely love to see what it produces from day to day! I'm proud of you in your now, tight skinny jeans! Also, that inbred thing was disgusting (but true).
