37 Weeks = Full Term!

I've made it!  My baybeh is officially fully ripened in my womb-o.  It's a comforting feeling, knowing that my chica could come at any time and that most importantly she would be alright.  It's been a crazy journey, and I can't believe my pregnancy saga is just about to come to a close.  Only one more week until I have the little one in my arms.

Brandon and I are much closer to deciding on a name, largely in thanks to all of your comments and ideas.  I'm not going to tell you what we've chosen, just because I want to see her first to make sure the name fits, and also I might change my mind AGAIN, so I think it'd be best to wait, but you will know anon, I'm sure.

I have tried to be more optimistic this week; to focus on the good about being pregnant and not dwell in my misery too much for the last part of my pregnancy.  My biggest complaint still is that it's so hard to just get around - to clean and walk and have any energy at all - but I'm not letting it get me down too much.

Tonight my sisters are throwing me a baby shower, and I'm really excited for it.  (And super grateful.)  I was just with my mom and we (finally) picked out the baby's crib set, and I'm really pleased with what we got.  I still have some random and small last minute things to pick up, but we're just about ready for our daughter to make her long-awaited debut.

I had a doc appt yesterday, and my doctor seems to think I'll do nicely with an induction.  My cervix is, like, ripening just nicely, I hear.  (Gross.)  I'm dilated to a 1, 70% effaced, but apparently her head is really low and in the birth canal, so maybe she's just as excited as I am to make it out of my uterus?

Anyway, here's a couple pics taken this week.  Girlfriend is getting BIG!

I am SO excited for you!!!

I am so proud of you for enduring through everything that the ed has brought into your path during this pregnancy... I know it has been a whirlwind but - YOU GOT THROUGH IT!!! And any minute now you will be holding your little girl in your arms ;0

You have shown so much courage, strength, and determination and it has truly been an inspiration to me to follow you along this journey and to hear your honest and sometimes raw feelings as you have gone through this. It is another amazing example of how we CAN be stronger that whatever the ed throws at us! That we CAN overcome and live our lives without being dictated my the ed... as much as it tries to pull us back into its spell.

And it sounds like this has only made you a stronger person, and you are THAT much further in your recovery!

I am so happy for you, and I wish you the best in the next few days as this chapter is opening up to a new and beautiful one ; )

You look amazing Brie! I am so excited for you guys and I can't wait for all the pics! I will be thinking of you in the next coming weeks and hoping all goes well with the induction. I can't say inductions are my favourite things (I was induced 3x in less than 2 days and it STILL didn't work!) but I hope it goes well for you and hopefully as minimally painful as possible. You've done soooo well throughout everything, and even though I don't personally know you, I am still so proud of you for all the crap you've dealt with. You are still standing and in the time I have been reading your blog it is AMAZING just how much you have changed for the better!!

Oh my goodness, I remember those last few days of pregnancy! I had a hard time with everything too, but you are right, having the end in sight makes it a bit more bearable.

Excited for you!!!!
